TIG welding at the highest level

With the introduction of the INVERTIG i, REHM has launched the latest generation of SIRIUS welding machines. These devices offer the user an even greater variety of options to achieve the best welding result quickly and safely. The dynamic performance of the devices sets new standards and enables highly efficient welding processes with a perfect arc. By doing without an output inductance, the full potential of digital control technology can be exploited.

The INVERTIG i welding processes are the result of the concentrated know-how and years of experience of the leading technology provider in the field of TIG welding.

DC welding is a common welding process in which the arc is cycled at a frequency of 140 KHz and is considered the standard for many welding applications.

The welding process is directionally stable from a current of 5 A and is particularly suitable for thin-walled sheets from a thickness of 0.2 mm.

With DC HYPER.PULS welding, higher welding speeds and better flow properties are achieved, which is advantageous for applications in the food and pharmaceutical industries, plant, device and tool construction as well as for locksmiths and railing construction.

The welds are very fine and smooth, the arc is easy to control and the pull-in at knots is minimal. The melt pool process is also faster than with other welding processes.

REHM HYPER.PULS welding device uses a welding current with a frequency of up to 17,500 Hz, which leads to a higher energy density both in the arc and on the workpiece. The DC balance allows the adjustment of the time for the high and low current. This device works almost silently and offers a significant reduction in warpage and tarnishing thanks to the use of DC-HYPER.SPOT tacking.

The REHM HYPER.SPOT uses the advantages of the HYPER.PULS and regulates the entire stitching process. As a result, tack points can be generated with a welding current of around 4 times that of a manual process. All tack points are identical and show almost no tarnishing or distortion. This means that the REHM HYPER.SPOT is also easy to operate for semi-skilled workers, since the burner only has to be positioned and the rest is done automatically.

The INVERTIG i can also be used in a variety of ways for interval welding and offers all the advantages of the various welding processes. The combination of interval welding, HYPER.PULS and HYPER.SPOT results in significant advantages, especially when welding tool edges and for repair work. The INVERTIG i can be set precisely and precisely by applying heat to the point in order to achieve optimal results. Until now, this was only possible with laser welding equipment. Interval welding is particularly suitable for tool repairs and build-up welding.

The efficient use of energy is of great importance for the environment. The INVERTIG i is a welding machine that has a very high level of efficiency and thus saves up to 30% in electricity costs compared to other devices. In addition, it meets all the requirements of the EU directive for eco-design. There are also state subsidies to renew the machine park in an environmentally friendly way. Talk to us about the funding opportunities.

Another feature that distinguishes the INVERTIG i is its POWER FACTOR CONTROLLER (PFC), which ensures maximum energy efficiency and can be used worldwide. With clean mains power consumption, the welder can be used anywhere. It also complies with the new regulation EU 2019/1784.

AC welding

BEST FOR:

Aluminum, panels, consoles and structures, frames, tanks repair welding

The AC welding process creates an extremely stable arc that can be perfectly adjusted by the user for the respective task according to the requirements. Reliably removes the oxide layer and delivers a very stable arc.

AC waveforms

The INVERTIG i offers the user several AC basic forms from which he can create the perfect weld seam for his task.

Soft Sine The sine shape produces a stable arc for most standard applications.

Hard sine The new AC curve shape from REHM combines the advantages of the sine curve with those of the square curve. The new standard in AC welding for most applications! Triangle Similar to sine with slightly reduced heat input.

Rectangle Very directionally stable with high heat input. This curve shape is mainly used for fillet welds on thick-walled components.

AC frequency automatic

Bundling of the arc in the lower power range Increase in service life and electrode resilience The automatic frequency control developed by REHM has been delighting users for more than 30 years.

AC balance Optimum oxide removal on aluminum Reducing the positive component protects the electrode and increases penetration The AC balance on the INVERTIG i can be set both via a time balance (classic) and via the current level of the positive or negative half-wave.

AC-HYPER.PULS

Aluminum stapling without additional material Thin-walled components The REHM Inverter makes it possible. The REHM HYPER.PULS also works with AC at up to 17,500 Hz. The hyperpulse causes the weld pool to oscillate, which, for example, leads to a faster connection when tacking.

AC-HYPER.SPOT All tack applications without an air gap Identical tacks allow for a consistent weld. Tacking can be done without additional material. Perfect staplers are also no problem for semi-skilled workers. Repair welding conventionally welded with AC. With the usual pore formation. Repair weld welded with DualWave. Significantly fewer pores. The AC-HYPER.SPOT can be used to create tacks on aluminum without using additional materials. The only condition is a gap-free preparation of the workpiece. AC-DualWave Aluminum with different material thicknesses Aluminum tank construction Reduces the pores in the weld seam Better cleaning for repair welds The REHM DualWave process mixes AC and DC welding. During the AC phase, the aluminum oxide layer is removed. In the DC phase, DualWave takes advantage of the DC arc. In this phase, more heat input enables better outgassing of the weld pool.
